Aminadab Delgado
Founder
Aminadab (Mina) Delgado is the founder of Fields of Hope, an organization focused on transforming communities through soccer. Through his 16 years of coaching and teaching at every level from kids to professional teams, Aminadab has seen the positive impacts that soccer has in people’s lives and communities, while at the same time, seeing the disparities in access to safe places to play. As an educator, Aminadab saw first hand the power of sports to help keep young people out of trouble and connect generations around the love of the game. Aminadab’s experiences led him to create Fields of Hope with the aim of bringing soccer fields to the communities that need them most.
Carrie Rogers
Executive Board/Secretary
Carrie Rogers is currently a Director at Broadcom, a technology leader in semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions. She has held numerous technical and management positions over her 20-year career and is the co-author of four US patents. Carrie received her Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. From 2012-2016, Carrie served on the Board of Directors for Arsenal Colorado/Fort Collins Soccer Club and served as Secretary of the Board for two of those years. She volunteered as a recreational soccer coach for six years and has served as team manager for Arsenal Colorado Academy Girls 2003 team the past six years. When not at the soccer fields, Carrie enjoys spending her free time running, hiking and skiing. Carrie resides in Fort Collins, CO with her husband and two children.
Derek Johnson
Executive Board/Treasurer
Derek is Vice President of Global Research & Development for A123 Systems and his responsibilities range from new technology develop and IP generation, to customer and strategic partner engagement, to production strategy and supply chain rationalization. Over the past four years, Derek has been part of the team that has booked over $7B USD in new business and accounted for over $100M USD in product cost savings. Derek's global responsibilities includes a team of over 140 PhD scientists, engineers, and technicians at strategic R&D sites in China, Europe, and the United States. In Addition, Derek serves as a Director on Symbios Technologies Board of Directors where he focuses on plasma processing technology development, for which he is the inventor of the core platform, and market applications for the technology. He is a firm believer in giving back to the community, especially our youth, and, at A123 Systems, spearheads and funds outreach programs ranging from aspiring young scientists just beginning their careers to curious students graduating from elementary school. Derek is a graduate of Colorado State University and the University of Florida with 17 peer reviewed publications and over 40 patents.
Betsy Wheeler
Executive Board
With over 20 years in the HR field, Betsy Wheeler serves as the Chief People Officer at Otter Products and oversees the programs related to Otter Products' greatest asset - its people. She ensures alignment of the people strategy with the business strategy. Graduating with a Master's degree in Organizational Development, she has applied human and organizational behavior principles to drive programs and initiatives that will increase performance and engagement throughout organizations. Betsy played soccer growing up, as did her husband, and now their children. She has been able to experience the value that soccer, and being a part of a team, has on kids' confidence and is proud to serve on the board of Fields of Hope so that she can help to bring more of those opportunities to children here and around the world.
Mike Scimeca
Executive Board
Mike Scimeca, President and CEO, founded FCT Assembly in April 2004. He attended Purdue University (1981-1984) and the University of Florida (1985-1986). In the past Mike was the president at Florida Cirtech, but passed that role onto his brother, Tom, when he founded FCT Assembly. Mike Scimeca believes that we need to “constantly push ourselves to reach the next level.” To be ahead of our competitors you have to push ahead of them. That is why FCT Assembly is constantly on the move when it comes to new ideas and changes. Over the past 10 years the company has accomplished more than imagined and it only will continue going up from here.
Greg Rogers
Logistics Analyst
Greg Rogers is a Senior Engineering Manager at Intel Corporation, the world’s second largest semiconductor company. He worked for Hewlett Packard for 7 years and Intel Corporation for the past 14 years and has held many different software and hardware engineering technical and management positions. Greg is the co-author of 19 US patents. Greg received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and his master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, both from Purdue University. He volunteered as a recreational soccer coach for 4 years and as a baseball coach for 5 years. Greg enjoys playing and watching all sports, especially soccer, baseball, basketball, and football. He also enjoys hiking, skiing, and watching movies. Greg lives in Fort Collins, Colorado with his wife and two children.
Kendra Johnson
Fundraising Committee/Chair
Kendra Johnson earned her BA in Speech Communication from Colorado State University. She was also a decorated Track and Cross-Country athlete during her time there. She currently leads the employee benefits department at Flood and Peterson.
Kendra has over 17 years of experience in many aspects of employee benefits, planning, and management. She leads the development and management of strategic plans designed to help organizations reduces costs of employee benefits.
Outside of Flood and Peterson, Kendra has had extensive involvement with the local and statewide divisions of the National Association of Health Underwriters. She recently completed her term as the President of the Northern Colorado Association of Health Underwriters, and currently serves as the Legislative Chair.
